We have no commercial relationship with Traya, and we don't earn from any link on this page. Everything below comes from Traya's published information and product pages as of 14 October 2026 (source notes: research/data/d2c-kits-2026-10.md). In short: Traya is an Indian hair-loss company that combines an online hair test, a doctor-prescribed monthly kit mixing modern medicines with Ayurvedic products, a hair coach and a diet plan. Some of its effect likely comes from well-proven medicines such as minoxidil, which are also available on their own as cheaper generics. The kit adds convenience, coaching and other products with less evidence behind them.

How Traya works

  1. "Hair Test™" online: a questionnaire plus photos, which Traya says identifies the "type, stage & root causes" of hair loss. Its homepage says "2 lakh+ Indians" have taken it.
  2. Expert call within 24 business hours; a personalised plan is prepared and the kit is dispatched in 4–5 business days.
  3. A "Hair Fall Buddy" calls to explain how to use the kit; coaching and diet guidance continue during treatment.
  4. Treatment typically runs 5–9 months, according to Traya's cost blog.

Reported scale: 10M+ Android installs, ₹338 Cr revenue in FY25. (Source: HairLoss99 competitor research, Oct 2026)

Traya's treatment overview says its plans can include minoxidil, finasteride and ketoconazole. We found only topical finasteride (combined with minoxidil) on its pages. We couldn't confirm whether oral finasteride or oral minoxidil is offered.

Traya's refund terms (quoted)

Traya's FAQ says: "If you use our solution plan (customized kit for Hair Fall) for five months consecutively and see NO improvement at all, we will refund the entire amount you spent on it!" Its homepage adds that the guarantee is valid only if you've been regular with the complete plan for all consecutive months, is subject to a dermatologist eligibility review, and excludes customers with autoimmune diseases and cancer. Read the current terms before buying.

FAQs

Does Traya contain minoxidil? Traya offers minoxidil 2% and 5%, and a topical minoxidil + finasteride solution, chosen by its doctors depending on your diagnosis. Check your kit's labels for which one you have.

Is Traya worth it? That depends on how much you value the coaching, convenience and doctor access compared with the cost difference from generics. The medicines with the strongest evidence are available separately.
